Compliance

Tirzepatide reduces the effectiveness of oral contraceptives. Non-hormonal backup birth control is recommended for 4 weeks after starting and after each dose increase.

The FDA resolved the semaglutide shortage on April 22, 2025. Compounding is permitted only for individually identified patients when a prescribing practitioner determines that the compounded preparation produces a significant difference for their patient compared to the FDA-approved product.
